To the program50 years Musikdorf Ernen
When György Sebők, worldwide renowned as piano pedagogue, started the first masterclass for piano and chamber music in the small mountain village Ernen in 1974, he could not have guessed that fifty years later the Musikdorf Ernen would be an internationally renowned, big festival of classical music.
We celebrate the 50st concert season under the motto «Milestones». Number 50 is a milestone in the development of the festival in the mountain village. Therefore we search for musical milestones too: Some works and composers have been marked as milestones by music historiography. Others lie hidden as milestones that have to be discovered. And for sure, many musicians have their personal milestones to bring along when we say: The Musikdorf Ernen celebrates its 50st concert season with a total of 50 concerts.
