Duration approx. 80 minutes, no interval
For his debut in the Musikdorf Ernen, tenor Krystian Adam presents the epochal work «Il combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda», in which Claudio Monteverdi not only introduced pioneering stylistic innovations in instrumental playing in the battle scenes, but also lends emotional depth to the story of the enamoured enemies Tancredi and Clorinda.
In addition to Bettinozzi's double concerto, freshly unearthed from an archive, the other pieces are from Venice, with the lively instrumental concertos and the distinctive arias from Vivaldi's opera «La verità in cimento».
