Part of the series «Chamber music compact» – Trio Gaspard plays 7 concerts in 3 days.
Johannes Brahms: Piano Trio No. 2 C Major op. 87
Sándor Veress: «3 Quadri» for Piano Trio (1963)
László Lajtha: Piano Trio op. 10 «Trio concertante»
Franz Liszt: «Pester Carnival» S. 379
The opening concert of "Chamber Music Compact" is centred around the Hungarian musical cosmos. For the Romantics Brahms and Liszt it was more of an imaginary place of longing, but for Lajtha and Veress it was the centre of their musical world in the early 20th century.
You can expect passionate, yearning music (Brahms), contemplative and playful musical images (Veress), light-footed neo-baroque sounds (Lajtha) and music inspired by the Hungarian folk music of the Budapest carnival.
Duration approx. 75 minutes
Trio Gaspard:
Jonian Ilias Kadesha, violin
Vashti Hunter, violoncello
Nicholas Rimmer, piano
