Just as in painting chiaroscuro contrasts give a picture more expression and drama, the members of the Chiaroscuro Quartet heighten their passionate playing. They tease out the chiaroscuro by letting sounds flare up and plunge into dark abysses.
In the Chamber Concert 4, the Chiaroscuro Quartet shows a light and a dark side of Mozart, along with the Quartet in C minor by Ludwig van Beethoven, which clearly takes up the dark side.
