Culture Award of the Foundation «100 Years Cantonal Bank of Valais»
The Musikdorf Ernen association wins the «100 Years Cantonal Bank of Valais» foundation prize in the category «Culture».
For the first time, the Foundation «100 Years of CBV» is not only awarding prizes in the categories «Social» and «Youth» for 2023, but also in the category «Culture». It is a special honour for the Musikdorf Ernen to be one of the first winners in this new area. The prize, which is endowed with CHF 4,000, crowns the big jubilee season 2023, in which the 50th anniversary of the Musikdorf Ernen was celebrated under the motto «Milestones». The award recognises the great cultural contribution of the Musikdorf Ernen association, which is considered an exemplary Valais cultural institution far beyond the canton thanks to the consistently high quality of its events.
At the award ceremony on 16 January 2024 in Sion, four prizes were awarded in the «Social» category and two prizes in the «Youth» category. Another Upper Valais institution, the Lötschental Museum, received a prize in the «Culture» category.
