The Valais soprano Rachel Harnisch has long been at home on the world's biggest opera and concert stages, and yet she still likes to return to the mountain village of Ernen. The view from the stage through the open church door is a unique place to sing.
For her concert in summer 2023, she dares to do something new: she interprets chansons by Edith Piaf. Once again, Harnisch will be accompanied by the South African jazz trio led by Charl du Plessis, which has a large fan base in Ernen thanks to its varied and stirring performances.
