Become patron through your testament
Have you considered what remains, when it's time to go?
Music is life
Have you ever thought about what will remain when it's time to go? We would like to inform you about the possibilities of including the Musikdorf Ernen in your will, leaving behind a lasting legacy.
The Musikdorf Ernen as a place of culture
The Festival Musikdorf Ernen stands for a big idea in a small village, for artistic quality and social cohesion. It enriches the lives of villagers, visitors, musicians and the local and regional economy.
You know our festival, its tradition and its charisma. Perhaps this is your first time in Ernen, or perhaps you are one of our long-standing loyal visitors.
Since 1974, the Musikdorf Ernen has developed into a significant event in the Swiss festival landscape. With its piano week, baroque and chamber music weeks, jazz and orchestra concerts, masterclasses, seminars and literature events, Ernen is known far beyond the country's borders as a village of music and culture.
In its more than 50-year tradition, the promotion of young musicians has been and remains just as important as the goal of being a festival with heart: guests and musicians come to Ernen out of a passion for music. The wide-ranging concert programme of the Musikdorf Ernen also includes music by female composers and contemporary works, and composition commissions are regularly granted in order to expand the chamber music repertoire.
Organiser
The Musikdorf Ernen Association is the organiser of the events held as part of the Festival Musikdorf Ernen.
More about the Musikdorf Ernen Association
In 2001, the Musikdorf Ernen Foundation was established to promote classical music, in particular the activities of the Musikdorf Ernen Association.
Support through a bequest
Through the Musikdorf Ernen Foundation, you have the opportunity to include the Musikdorf Ernen in your will. The foundation is recognised as a non-profit organisation and is therefore tax-exempt. With a donation to the Musikdorf Ernen Foundation, you can continue your life story and enter the history of the Musikdorf Ernen as a generous patron.
You will ensure the continuation of our rich programme and have the opportunity to determine how your legacy is used according to your wishes: Is, for example, the training of young musicians in our masterclasses particularly close to your heart? Or the further development of music through composition commissions? It is of course possible to specify the purpose of your bequest, but this is not mandatory.
Advantages of a will
Most people see a will as a relief. It provides clarity, certainty and security. You decide for yourself what happens to your legacy and prevent disputes among your surviving dependants or the state becoming the sole beneficiary.
A will also offers the opportunity to make up for missed donation opportunities. Perhaps you would have liked to donate money earlier, but your circumstances did not allow it. Once a will has been drawn up, it is not set in stone; if your circumstances change, it can be easily changed.
Including the Musikdorf Ernen in your will
There are various ways of including the Musikdorf Ernen in your will.
Bequests/legacies
With a bequest, you assign a specific sum of money or a specific asset (including real estate or works of art) to the Musikdorf Ernen Foundation in your will, which it will receive provided it is still available at the time of inheritance.
Beneficiary designation
You designate the Musikdorf Ernen Foundation as a beneficiary of a percentage of your estate. The institution then has the same rights and obligations as all other beneficiaries (if any). The Musikdorf Ernen Foundation's inheritance claim will therefore be continuously adjusted to your current financial circumstances.
Substitute beneficiary
In this case, the Musikdorf Ernen Foundation is designed as a substitute beneficiary if the primary beneficiary passes away before the inheritance.
