Ensemble in Residence
The Musikdorf Ernen invites promising young chamber music ensembles to a two-week residency in the inspiring cultural location of Ernen.
The ensembles can use the time and ideal rehearsal facilities for activities they consider important for their artistic development as a group. They develop programme ideas and concert formats, work on their shared artistic vision and shape their future as ensembles. During the residency, the ensembles also find time to grow as a group through supporting activities in the cultural village of Ernen and its wonderful surrounding nature. They also have the opportunity to select a renowned musician from the festival community as a mentor and to work with the festival management on the strategic development of the ensemble. The project is a unique form of chamber music promotion for young talent in Switzerland.
