After his successful debut last year, Romanian pianist Andrei Gologan returns to the Musikdorf Ernen.
For his programme, he was inspired by the festival motto («Fire and Flame»). Thus, in addition to Beethoven's Sonata «The Tempest», he will also bring the ardently glowing music of the Russian synaesthete Alexander Scriabin (1872–1915) and the brightly shining sounds of «...just as the sun is always...» to the Musikdorf. The latter is an early piano work by the current Composer in Residence 2023/24, Christian Mason.
Gologan was in Sir András Schiff's «Building Bridges» mentoring programme and is as passionate a chamber musician as he is an outstanding pianist.
