For his Musikdorf debut, the Hungarian pianist and 2021 Géza Anda laureate will perform works by Haydn and Schumann as well as music by his compatriot Béla Bartók. Berecz has extensive experience with Bartók, having performed his complete works for piano in eight recitals in Budapest between 2020 and 2022.
Also to be heard for the first time in Switzerland is Berecz's first CD recording of the Sonata in F minor by Hélène de Montgeroult (1764–1836), the legendary pianist who helped shape the early years of the Paris Conservatoire as a piano professor and who was particularly famous during her lifetime for her piano improvisations.
