Gile Bae was one of the first participants in Sir András Schiff's mentoring program «Building Bridges». She is renowned for her fresh interpretations of Bach's music.
For her Musikdorf debut, Gile Bae has chosen a program full of connections between Baroque music, Romanticism, and Modernism, featuring Busoni's piano transcription of Bach's monumental Chaconne from the Violin Partita, and the equally immense Handel Variations by Johannes Brahms.
In between there are two somewhat lighter works, Robert Schumann's Humoresque and Claire-Mélanie Sinnhuber's Toccata, which establishes many links to Baroque music.
