Sir András Schiff says about Schaghajegh Nosrati: «She is a wonderful pianist and of my younger colleagues for me she is the only one who really plays Bach wonderfully.»
In her performances over the past years, the German pianist Schaghajegh Nosrati has captivated the audience in the music village of Ernen with her sensitive and clever interpretations as well as her captivating playing. For her third performance, the winner of the Bach Competition Leipzig brings not only music from Leipzig (Bach and Mendelssohn), but once again a breathtakingly virtuoso work by the French piano virtuoso Charles Valentin Alkan (1813-1888): The monumental "Grande Sonate: Les Quatre Âges" sets to music four different ages of a human being and with four increasingly slow movements.
