The Festival Musikdorf Ernen aims to introduce its audience to outstanding female composers from the past. Beyond quotas or occasional efforts, the Musikdorf focuses each season on one female composer from the past and presents her music to the festival audience in a purposeful and comprehensive manner. This makes it clear that female composers who have created a broad and high-quality body of work have been around for a long time and deserve to be discovered in the concert hall at last!
