For his debut in the Musikdorf Ernen, the internationally renowned Argentine bass Nahuel Di Pierro has selected a multifaceted programme. It includes German, Italian and English music by Bach and Handel.
In addition to the popular Bach cantata «Der Friede sei mit dir» (Peace be with you), the passionate music of Handel's cantata «Cuopre tal volta il cielo» (Sometimes the sky covers), with its musical depiction of a thunderstorm, is sure to be a highlight of the concert.
Finally, Di Pierro will sing the beautiful aria «Vouchsafe, O Lord» and the gripping aria «Revenge, Timotheus cries» from Handel's time in England.
